Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG you sink an entire commute into and then wish the train was slower. You build a party, wander a hand-drawn world, and fight in crisp turn-based battles where positioning actually matters. The writing has real personality — side characters kept surprising us with genuinely funny lines.

Progression is generous without being mindless. Skills branch in ways that reward planning, and swapping party members to counter a boss never felt like busywork. Combat runs smoothly even on our older test phone.

If we had one gripe, it's that the mid-game menus get a little dense. Stick with it, though, and Emberfall Saga is one of the most complete mobile RPGs we've played this year.
